Meet Your Teacher
Adrienne Ryser grew up in San Diego, California, in a family of horticulturists. She moved to Paris for love and, in discovering L’Arrosoir, found a new home in the world of floristry.
Over the past decade, she has built a life and career as a florist in the city, creating for luxury clients such as Chanel, designing arrangements for couples across Paris, transforming iconic design storefronts, and leading floral workshops at the oldest flower shop in Paris.
She is also the author of Fleurs, a floral recipe book published in 2026, and travels internationally to teach workshops and give floral demonstrations.
The Program
Day 1- The French Bouquet
We’ll begin the day with a decadent breakfast at L’Arrosoir, coffee and tea, fresh Parisian pastries with salted butter and jam, an assortment of market finds, and, of course, champagne.
Adrienne will then demonstrate how to create a classic French-style spiral bouquet before it’s your turn to get your hands in the flowers. Katie Donnelly will photograph your work and share her tips for capturing your arrangements beautifully on your phone, so you’ll leave not only with your own bouquet, but with the skills to photograph your flowers long after the day is over.
Day 2- Sourcing & Antiquing
We start early and head to Rungis, the extraordinary market that supplies flowers to Paris and the largest wholesale market in Europe selling cheese, meats, fresh produce and so much more. We’ll wander through the flower halls, visiting trusted suppliers and learning how to select stems like a professional.
From there, we’ll spend the morning at a beloved and somewhat magical antiques address, searching for the vessel your next arrangement is meant to live in. We’ll close the day with a demonstration of a classic Médicis arrangement, before recreating it together as a group. Lunch will be held at the antique shop, an experience like no other!
Day 3- The Centerpiece
Our final day begins with a demonstration. Adrienne will show you how to design a tablescape and floral centerpiece, then you will create your own in the antique vessel you chose the day before.
We close the week with a final photography session with Katie Donnelly, capturing your floral work and personal portraits. Everyone leaves with a professional portfolio of beautifully photographed arrangements to take home.

Dress comfortably and ready to work. You’ll be on your feet and working with flowers most of the time, so comfort is key.
Since the week is fully photographed, you might want to bring outfits in line with your brand that show off your personal style for portfolio shots.
We will be providing all florals and tools you’ll need for the duration of the masterclass.

The shop is in the 11th arrondissement. We recommend staying in the Marais area, which is just a 20 minute walk or 10 minute taxi or ride from L'Arrosoir each morning.

The deposit (€735) is non-refundable and secures your place. The remaining balance of €1,715 must be paid 60 days before the retreat and, once paid, is also non-refundable.
Should you no longer be able to attend, you can transfer your seat to another person at any time before the retreat starts without having to pay any extra fee.

Katie photographed Adrienne’s book Fleurs, bringing the same thoughtful, refined eye to every arrangement. Throughout the masterclass, she’ll photograph the work you create, as well as personal portraits, and share her expertise on how to capture flowers beautifully yourself. You’ll leave not only with the arrangements you’ve made, but with a collection of exceptional professional images that truly shows your work at its best.

You’ll work in L'Arrosoir, the oldest flower shop in Paris, which has been in the same spot in the 11th arrondissement for over a hundred years. This isn’t a studio set up just for the event—it’s a real, working shop with a rich history. That’s what makes it such a special place to learn.
